I am a born Cowboy who grew up to be an artist. I identify myself as a Cowboy Artist. Authenticity is my central defining feature and validates my identity personally and as an artist.
My paintings of cowboys and horses have been called “art like no other artist.” Each painting is a step toward preserving the American West, Cowboy, the unspoken language of the horse, tack and the connections between rider and mount.
A lifetime of self-instruction, concentration, patience and effort. I paint the finest oil paintings in American Western Culture and Equine Art. My own personal characteristics and life’s story are as important as the features in my created work.
My very private artistic abilities started in a small room at home. Shy in nature, I kept my work hidden. It remained silent throughout most of my adult life. I kept a private studio and remains so today. Because of a very kind request a few years ago to see my work, exposed my journey. Since that time, I have made it my life’s mission to remain a working artist. In the nature of what and who I am.
